We are seeking a skilled and customer-focused Applications Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in bridging the gap between our technical solutions and client requirements, providing application support, technical expertise, and tailored engineering solutions.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREA

  • Define and propose the most effective dust collector solutions in accordance best practices aligned to EMEA processes with zero warranty claims.
  • Ensure our product offerings are aligned to our strategic sales objectives
  • Work closely together with product engineering (EMEA), with aligned best practices & process
  • Offer Technical / applications support to sales, customers, suppliers in accordance with our policies and procedures.
  • Align Applications Processes to that of EMEA

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Accurate specking of units for applications (zero warranties)
  • Trouble shooting / resolving customer complaints in a timeous manner
  • Professional report writing based on findings with proposed solutions
  • General Application / Technical Support (Customer Queries / Warranties)
  • Alignment with EMEA Applications processes and best practices
  • Field visits and customer training
  • Assist with project management / co-ordination

JOB REQUIREMENTS

  • Mechanical engineering degree or equivalent.
  • At least 5 years technical experience within Engineering / sales support / testing - preferably within filtration / dust control.
  • General knowledge of currently used production techniques in the industries in order to be able to advise how to solve dust problems. Knowledge of fabrication, fan design & application, pneumatics, noise & acoustics an advantage. Knowledge of relevant legislation.
  • Computer skills, MS office etc.
  • Good written and oral communication skills in English (operate at all levels)
  • Good knowledge of company procedures / operation and commercial objectives.
  • Team Player with assumed accountability
  • Team Player and customer focused
