Job description

The Applications Developer (IT Analyst/Programmer III) will bepart of the Application Development/Online Services division of the DigitalTransformation department. The developer will be responsible for designing anddelivering high quality, custom applications to various internal customersacross a variety of projects. The Applications Developer will work closely withthe PMO (Project Management Office) - Project Managers/Business Analystsalongside Web Designer and stakeholders at various parts of the softwaredevelopment lifecycle to understand the project's functional and technicalrequirements.

From these discussions and supplied specifications, theApplications Developer will proceed to efficiently implement the solution whileadhering to internal development standards. Inaddition, this position is responsible for isolating and fixing defects inexisting applications as well as migration of key legacy applications to newerplatforms. This position includes significant backend PHP development responsibilitieswithin a Linux environment, while also supporting front-end user interfacedevelopment and application integration efforts.

The position may also assistwith evaluating and implementing modern development tools, automationtechnologies, and AI-assisted development practices to improve operationalefficiency and application support. Ongoing support, maintenance, andenhancement of applications following implementation are essentialresponsibilities of this position.
