CareConnect's network has grown to more than 20,000 providers at hospitals and physician practices throughout downstate New York.
Job Description
Performs a variety of skilled and technical work associated with the development and preparation of computer programs: defines and implements IT Application Development practices and procedures outlined in a formal Software Development Life Cycle. Develops and modifies computer programs and reports.
1. Works with end users, Senior Programmer/Analysts and Business Analysts to define business problems and design solutions
2. Works with end users, Senior Programmer/Analysts, and Business Analysts to design new workflows, systems, programs and reports to improve the operations of the organization
3. Performs systems analysis to ensure the feasibility of proposed new programs/reports or program/report modifications
4. Assists in creating documents necessary to allow end users to evaluate proposed new programs or program modifications
5. Develops software code, as needed
6. Assists in generating test plans to allow thorough testing of new programs/reports or program/report modifications
7. Participates in the creation of necessary documentation, including end user documentation, procedure manuals and associated run sheets
8. Assist in developing training materials required as part of the implementation process and participates in the delivery of training
9. Participates in generating design documents
10. Performs related duties as required.
Qualifications
• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, required.
• Minimum two (2) years experience as a Junior Programmer / Analyst, required. Prior managed care experience, preferred.
• Knowledge of Microsoft SQL and Visual Studio tools, required.
