Job description

The Ark-Tex Council of Governments (ATCOG) is now accepting applications for Development Specialist, Announcement #2601. This is a full-time position located in the Texarkana, Texas office. The position is responsibleย for providing development support for broadband opportunity planning and assisting Regional Development in a variety of grant programs.

Your application MUST identify the required minimum qualifications for this position.ย 

EDUCATION/TRAINING:

Bachelor's degree (BA/BS) in economics, business, marketing or related field, plus at least four years of related experience; OR high school diploma or equivalent and at least five years of experience in planning or grant administration, OR any equivalent combination of education and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITY:

Knowledge of procedures, and regulations particularly relating to economic and community development procedures.

Skill to effectively communicate, both written and orally; and proficiency with standard office equipment and computers, Microsoft applications (word, excel, and 365), and navigating online databases.

Ability to possess strong administrative abilities, organizational skills, and the ability to multi-task and prioritize a wide range of duties to be performed successfully. Must exhibit professionalism. Ability to see, hear, and interact through online communication required. Must be able to perform the essential functions of this position with or without reasonable accommodation.

Additional Requirement: Must possess a valid motor vehicle operator's license subject to an approved motor

vehicle report and reliable transportation with valid proof of insurance for travel within the ATCOG region.
