Job Title: Senior Specialist, Application Development - Engineering Operations Tools & Application Development

Job Description:

As a Sr. Application Development Specialist, you will be responsible for playing a crucial role in developing, maintaining and integrating our backend systems in a closed area, including our Golang Teamcenter libraries, NX ufunc, Capital Harness DRC libraries among other reusable and extensible codebase. You will primarily manage, enhance and integrate our microservices infrastructure while contributing to broader general to be defined tasking due to the unique nature of the program. This role requires a self-driven individual who can work independently and prioritize tasking based on program rea need balanced with broader business requirements and is proactive in staying current with emerging technologies and can participate in efforts effectively with a small team of developers as well as balance the program security control functions.

Essential Functions:

  • Develop, maintain, integrate, upgrade and enhance Golang Teamcenter libraries, NX ufunc, Capital Harness DRC libraries among other reusable and extensible codebase.
  • Develop, maintain, integrate, and upgrade the upkeep of and management of microservices within our technology stack.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate backend systems with web applications.
  • Personally, maintaining some self-driven or time driven projects with a large amount of autonomy as required.
  • Stay updated with industry trends and technologies to ensure our systems remain cutting-edge.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to API integrations and microservices versus program security control implementation and provide solutions not too far out of line with general established solutions.
  • Contributes to the design and architecture of scalable and efficient backend systems.
  • Advocate and arbitrate with the team for best design based on requirements defined to be met.
  • Understanding in Golang, C#, JavaScript, and Vue, or equivalent languages.
  • Familiarity with PLM tools and CAD/CAM and teams Custom developed applications/systems garnered towards the ISR business model.
  • Strong understanding of microservices architecture implementation.
  • Experience with integrating disparate tools into a PLM suite such as Simulations, Requirements Management, MBSE, or "unique space" and be comfortable explaining what was required in detail.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt to new technologies, provide solutions and once confirmed, implement said solutions.
  • Strong communication skills, status and prioritization and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment with minimal oversight.
  • Utilization of and development for Teamcenter RAC and/or Active Workspace experience
  • Experience and hands on exposure for working with large data migrations/transforms.
  • Aptitude in working directly with infrastructure/architecture across various virtualization platforms and program vs enterprise teams.
  • Comfort in uncharted digital territories with results delivery as it applies to business need.
  • Other duties as assigned by Supervisor.

 

Qualifications: 

 

  • Bachelor's Degree with six (6) years of Software development with a focus on backend systems experience.
  • Graduate Degree with four (4) years of Software development with a focus on backend systems experience.
  • In lieu of a degree, minimum of 10 years of Software development with a focus on backend systems experience.
  • Must have an active Secret clearance at the time of hire.
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen.
