At One Community Health, we are a mission-driven Federally Qualified Health Center committed to improving the health and well-being of the communities we serve throughout the Columbia River Gorge. As a Human Resource Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting our employees, strengthening internal operations, and helping advance our mission by ensuring our teams have the administrative and operational support they need to serve our patients and communities effectively.

The Human Resource Assistant is responsible for providing day-to-day administrative and operational support to the Human Resources department across multiple OCH locations. This position may support some or all of the following functional areas: record keeping and file maintenance, HRIS entry and maintenance including time and attendance, onboarding, and support for other human resources processes. This role is expected to resolve most questions and complete assigned tasks with some guidance. The position requires integration of related bodies of knowledge and functions, along with a high level of professionalism, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

This position is full-time, Monday-Friday and located at our Hood River, Oregon clinic location.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • High School diploma, GED, or equivalent
  • Minimum one (1) year of clerical experience in an office setting
  • Intermediate proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Ability to work autonomously within scope while managing multiple tasks with professionalism, confidentiality, compliance, and efficiency
  • Strong computer skills, including experience with Microsoft Office applications, ADP, and other systems
  • Knowledge of and compliance with HIPAA regulations
  • Strong time management skills with the ability to prioritize and organize work across multiple and sometimes competing deadlines
  • Professional written and verbal communication skills
  • Successful relationship management skills within multidisciplinary teams and diverse, multicultural environments
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills with the ability to use initiative and sound judgment
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment and navigate ambiguity
  • Ability to inspire trust and confidence while communicating effectively with internal and external stakeholders
  • Customer service mindset with knowledge of assigned human resource functions and workplace safety practices
  • Ability to travel between health center sites as needed; valid driver’s license required
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bilingual in Spanish and English
  • Associate’s or bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business, or related field
  • Human Resources certification such as aPHR preferred
  • Minimum one (1) year of experience in general Human Resources functions, or equivalent progressive experience, preferably in the healthcare industry
  • Experience with ADP Workforce Now
  • Experience supporting multiple teams or locations
  • Knowledge of Oregon and Washington employment laws and regulations
  • Experience working in a grant-funded organization, such as a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC)

Compensation:
  • Hourly / Non-Exempt: $22.00–23.00 per hour, DOE
