Job Description
The HR Generalist plays a critical role in delivering responsive, accurate, and high-quality HR support across the employee lifecycle. This role serves as a trusted resource for employees and managers on day-to-day HR questions, processes, and systems, while partnering closely with the HR Business Partner team and Centers of Excellence to execute key people initiatives, maintain data integrity, and support a consistent employee experience.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Serve as a first point of contact for employee and manager questions on HR policies, processes, and systems.
  • Provide first-level guidance to employees and managers on HR policies and standard practices, escalating complex or sensitive matters to the HR Business Partner team.
  • Execute employee lifecycle changes (job changes, transfers, promotions, manager changes, terminations) with accurate documentation and system updates, including: Ensuring employee data is accurate in Workday by submitting job changes, position updates, and terminations, Ensuring the exit process is completed, including sending exit packets, Submitting employment, severance, and retention agreement requests to legal, circulating for execution, and updating systems with agreement terms, Following internal policies and controls around handling employee data and documents and ensuring employee files are updated.
  • Submitting job requisitions to Talent Acquisition.
  • Partner with COEs on data audits, position management updates, and system clean-up projects.
  • Ensuring position management in Workday is updated through regular auditing and updating position details. This includes, maintaining and auditing employee data and files to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance with recordkeeping requirements.
  • Partner with the Learning and Development team to support the coordination and execution of engagement activities, recognition programs, and company events.
  • Partner with Corporate Communications to assist with communications related to policy updates, HR programs, and organizational announcements.
  • Model company values and contribute to a positive, inclusive employee experience.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2-4 years of HR experience (internship, coordinator, or generalist experience); prior administrative or customer-facing experience considered.
  • Working familiarity with HRIS platforms (Workday preferred) and strong general computer skills (Excel, Outlook, SharePoint).
  • Strong attention to detail and comfort managing multiple transactional tasks accurately and on deadline.
  • Solid written and verbal communication skills; professional and approachable demeanor with employees at all levels.
  • Good judgment and discretion when handling confidential employee information.
  • Eagerness to learn across HR disciplines and grow toward an HR Business Partner or specialist career path.
  • Bachelor's degree in HR, Business, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience); HR certification (aPHR/PHR) a plus.
