Job description

Gibson Electric Membership Corporation has a Director of Human Resources position now open for our Trenton Member Service Center located at 1207 S. College St., Trenton, TN.
The position manages and administers all human resources activities for Gibson Electric.
Qualified applicants must have:
  • Bachelor's Degree in human resource management, business, or another related field. Related experience may be substituted for education requirement
  • Completion of courses and certifications (SHRM and/or HRCI) related to human resources management
  • Three years of human resource generalist experience including benefits administration and HR management. Professional designation (aPHR, PHR, SHRM-CP or CEBS) or coursework may be substituted for experience requirement.
  • Knowledge of employment law and compliance requirements
  • Knowledge of salary administration
  • Knowledge of benefits administration
  • Knowledge of employment law
  • Knowledge of and ability to interpret policy, review precedent and provide recommendation for action to President and CEO

It is preferred for the applicant to have a Senior Professional in Human Resources Certification (SPHR) and/or Society for Human Resource Management Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) and to have four (4) or more years of human resources experience in an electric utility/telecommunications company.
