Description

American Traveler is hiring a CT Technologist with ARRT CT certification and an active Indiana Radiation Machine Operator's License to perform computed tomography imaging in a hospital setting.

Details
  • Hospital-based CT Scan department setting
  • 1st shift, 12-hour days, Saturday-Monday from 6:30 AM to 7:00 PM
  • 36 hours per week over 3 days
  • Uses electronic medical record and PACS imaging systems
Requirements
  • Associate's degree from a JRCERT-accredited Radiology Program, or military training graduate of a JRCERT-accredited program validated by active ARRT Certification
  • BLS certification required
  • ARRT Computed Tomography (CT) Certification required
  • Current Indiana Radiation Machine Operator's License required if applicable
  • CT Registry required; registry-eligible candidates must obtain CT certification within one year of employment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to collaborate effectively with a multidisciplinary team
Additional Information
  • Perform various CT scans using specified protocols and related procedures including venipuncture
  • Perform image reconstruction such as ROI and distance measurements to support Radiologist review
  • Administer contrast media under physician direction and per department policy
  • Continuously monitor patients during exams and apply radiation protection practices for patient and self
  • Assist Radiologist with exams as necessary
  • Obtain patient history, verify identifying information and orders, and explain exam procedures to patients
  • Document and complete studies within the electronic medical record
  • Perform quality control on equipment and assigned rooms, and report equipment malfunctions
  • Order and restock supplies and linens as needed
  • Maintain records concerning radiopharmaceutical receiving, dispensing, and disposal activities
  • Candidates who complete in-house training receive 16 weeks of training before their one-year certification period begins
