Job Title: Desktop Support Tech

Job Function Risk Level 3 – Privileged user access with intentional access to PHI and sensitive data

Summary: This role oversees the day to day support needs for all desktop IT resources. Assists IT Support and Server Team to provide support as needed.

Essential Functions:

Essential functions include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

1. Excellent customer service while performing administrative functions as it relates to supporting desktop resources.

2. Maintain infrastructure software for imaging new desktops/laptops.

3. Responds to desktop support requests from employees and consultants.

4. Trouble shooting internal network, printing, and soft phone issues.

5. Create and maintain active directory and O365 accounts and groups.

6. Establishes new systems as requested by employees to support day-to-day operations.

7. Maintain virus protection solution for desktops/laptops.

8. Maintain full disk encryption solution on desktops/laptops.

Requirements

• Adaptability and flexibility in a rapidly changing environment

Education:

• High School Diploma required, Associate’s Degree preferred

Skills and Experience:

• Two to five years hands on experience in network computer environment

• Well versed in troubleshooting issues on Windows desktop OS systems

• Knowledge of connectivity between desktops and Windows\Linux servers

• Microsoft Office including Outlook and O365 application experience

• Microsoft active directory and GPO knowledge

• Work with anti-virus protection and full disk encryption

• Knowledge of PC imaging software

• Must be "hands-on" and assist in completing maintenance work

• General understand of security and permission controls

• Ability to setup and maintain desktop systems in a networked environment

• Ability to interact with other peers and IT vendors

• Customer service and detail oriented

• Excellent communication skills, both written and vocal

• Ability to work effectively on a team and independently

Regarding the Active Directory experience, they need to simply understand how A/D works, be able to create a group / user and add a group. They only need to know how Group Policy (GPO) works. The imaging tool they use is “Manage Engine”.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $35.00/hr.
