Amazon Air is seeking an experienced and highly motivated Senior Financial Analyst to join its Finance team. This role will be part of a highly visible team in charge of optimizing the Amazon Air network. This is an exciting opportunity to innovate and reduce our cost to serve customers through partnership with teams across Operations and Finance. You will partner with business leaders on specific projects that you will help drive from inception to delivery.
Regular collaboration with business leaders will provide an opportunity to exhibit your verbal and written communication skills. A typical day in this role involves partnering with business leaders to analyze real-world problems, create meaningful business reporting, and build and maintain financial models to measure overall financial performance.
Key job responsibilities
As a Senior Financial Analyst in Amazon Air Finance, your key responsibilities will be being the single-threaded leader of all planning for the Amazon Air Aircraft and Flight costs. You will own end to end financial planning, as well as weekly and monthly ownership of financial costs. Additionally, you will partner with business leaders within Amazon Air as well as the broader Global Transportation network, to design an efficient and fast network. You will use solid financial knowledge and business acumen to build planning models, improve forecasting methodology in line with changing business needs, interpret data, draw conclusions, and make recommendations at a worldwide level that delivers results, drive improvements, and influence leaders in Amazon Air and Air Finance.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

- 4+ years of participating in continuous improvement projects in your team to scale and improve controllership with measurable results experience
- Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
