Job Title: Wine Tasting Server
Location: Starfield Vineyards – Placerville, California
Job Type: Part-Time, Friday-Sundays
Compensation: $18-$20/hour + Tips + Wine Club Commissions
Reports To: Tasting Room Manager

Job Summary:

We are seeking a friendly, knowledgeable, and service-oriented Wine Tasting Server to join our team. As the face of Starfield Vineyards, you will create engaging tasting experiences for our guests, educate them about our wines and winemaking philosophy, and ensure every visitor leaves with a positive impression.
Key Responsibilities:

  • Greet and engage guests with enthusiasm and professionalism
  • Lead wine tastings and provide detailed information about our wines, vineyard, and our history
  • Upsell wine flights, bottles, and wine club memberships
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and welcoming tasting room environment
  • Assist members with wine club shipment pickups
  • Operate POS system to process sales, memberships, and reservations
  • Follow all safety, alcohol service, and health regulations
  • Contribute to team efforts with a positive attitude and willingness to assist in other winery operations as needed
Qualifications:

  • Must be 21 years of age or older
  • Prior tasting room, restaurant, or hospitality experience preferred
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Enthusiastic about wine and eager to learn more about it
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work weekends and holidays
  • Ability to work in outside environments with high and low temperatures
  • Must be able to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 lbs
