Job Summary
The Tasting Room Lead Bartender provides on-shift leadership for the assigned Distillery Tasting Room. This role leads service execution, upholds product and cocktail standards, supports cash controls and inventory processes, and assists the Tasting Room Manager with administrative and operational responsibilities assigned. Partners closely with the Tasting Room Manager to ensure consistent team performance and delivery of remarkable hospitality aligned with experience and financial goals.

  • Lead Shift-Level Service Execution: Guide and pace on-shift work to ensure consistent, high-quality guest experience and service standards.
  • Reinforce Hospitality and Product Standards: Model and support proper beverage knowledge, cocktail execution, and brand standards.
  • Support Shift Operations and Readiness: Maintain a clean, stocked, and organized environment to support smooth service flow.
  • Ensure Compliance and Safe Service: Uphold alcohol service laws, safety standards, and company policies during shifts.
  • Support Team Effectiveness and Continuous Improvement: Assist teammates, share best practices, and communicate feedback and opportunities to leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and act in a manner consistent with our Mission, Vision & Values
  • Provide on-shift leadership while actively bartending to ensure consistent execution of hospitality, beverage quality, and service standards, reinforcing accountability and supporting team performance
  • Train new bartenders, reinforcing product knowledge, service expectations, and operational standards to build team capability and consistency
  • Uphold and coach adherence to cocktail, spirits, beer, and wine standards, ensuring products are prepared and presented to recipe, portion, and brand specifications
  • Support operational execution through cash controls, inventory support, ordering, and receiving, contributing to accurate financial and product management
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and compliant tasting room environment, ensuring adherence to alcohol service, safety, and sanitation standards
  • Partner with the Tasting Room Manager on administrative responsibilities, shift communication, and continuous improvement efforts that strengthen team capability, guest experience, and business results

Required Qualifications
  • Proficiency in alcohol service compliance, sanitation, and cash-handling practices
  • 1+ year experience in a cocktail bartending environment
  • Excellent communication and guest-engagement skills; thrives in fast-paced service windows
  • Availability for evenings, weekends, events, and holidays
