Job Description:
Airbus Commercial Aircraft is looking for a Procurement Applications Specialist (Contract Role) to join our Procurement department based inHendon, VA.
We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Applications and Process Specialist to serve as the regional focal point for procurement, digital solutions, and processes. This role acts as the critical bridge between the Procurement business functions & Digital teams locally and globally. The successful candidate will ensure the stability of current applications while driving key improvements specifically focusing on Coupa, SAP / ERP harmonization.
Your Challenges:
Tools & Processes maintenance
  • Subject Matter Expertise: Serve as the primary regional expert for all procurement-related tools, including SAP, Coupa, Data Analytics and integrated applications.
  • Strategic Advisory: Provide technical and process-driven guidance to the Procurement team.
  • Solutions to ensure alignment with the wider Airbus ERP landscape.
  • Change Management: Drive the necessary change management with stakeholders.
  • Stakeholder Management: Secure deep integration with European central functions and regional IM/Digital organizations. Maintain transparency and alignment with Procurement, Digital teams and others as necessary.
  • Requirement Arbitration: Act as a mediator between change-specific needs and standard procurement business requirements to ensure scalable solutions.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and execute strategies for regional process optimizations that align with global organizational standards.

Your boarding Pass:
  • Bachelor Degree in IT/Computer Science or relative field required, Master Degree preferred
  • Minimum 8-10 years in Procurement Applications, Business Relationship Management, or Digital Transformation.
  • Proven track record of system harmonization within a large-scale industrial environment (Aerospace or similar complex manufacturing preferred).
  • Experience managing cross-border stakeholders
  • Ability to translate complex technical requirements into business-friendly language.
  • Strong leadership presence with the ability to to align the stakeholders.
  • Aptitude for navigating high-complexity, "versatile" program manager roles.
  • ERP Mastery: Advanced experience with SAP and Coupa (integration and run-mode) is mandatory.
  • Procurement Tools: Proficiency in e-Sourcing and e-Procurement suites (e.g., Coupa, SAP).
  • Digital Fluency: Is required

This position is a temporary (contract) position with no specific time period but could be extended or shortened as needed. Contractors are employed by a 3rd party vendor and placed on assignment to Airbus in America.
