What you will be doing

You will be on a development pathway to guide your growth into the role of Graduate Logistics Project Manager and can expect to be involved in the following:

  • Project work supporting the continuous improvement of the Airbus Logistics and Warehouse organization
  • Daily operation support across the warehouse department at a multi-program commercial aerospace manufacturing facility, including supporting the Airbus global supply chain. You will learn how to use SAP MES as well as other Airbus manufacturing ecosystem IT tools
  • Additionally, you will gain experience and knowledge in lean manufacturing principles as well as an awareness of global supply chain topics

Throughout this program, you will develop as a professional through a series of rotational placements designed to support your professional development.

Placements
  • differerent phases of the manufacturing process in logistics operations roles
  • rotations through the quality department
  • or in adjacent departments and/or sites dependent on your personal development needs as determined by you and your manager

Your development pathway will include a minimum of one rotational placement to support your growth into position. Throughout the two year development programme you will have developed into the position of Graduate Logistics Project Manager!

What we are looking for
  • A degree level or equivalent within a relevant field of study
  • Recently graduated or first professional experience in the field of supply chain management or logistics (0 - 3 years of experience)
  • Strong verbal and written communication in our business language (English)
  • A desire to work in a collaborative team environment, focused on driving future innovation
  • The ability to be self aware and a wish to be in the driving seat of your development.
  • Ability to work in the US without current or future need of visa sponsorship

  • Equipment Operation (personal computer, telephone, copies, fax machine, and related office equipment and using electronic identification card to enter building floors and internal doors): able to operate most office and personal electronic equipment and some tools including production tools such as hydraulic lifts.
  • Carrying: able to carry documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Lifting: able to lift documents, tools, drawings, electronic equipment up to 30lbs/14kgs.
  • Pushing / Pulling: able to push and pull small office furniture and some equipment and tools.
  • Sitting: able to sit for long periods of time in meetings, working on computer.
  • Squatting / Kneeling: able to squat or kneel to retrieve or replace items stored on low shelving.
  • Standing: able to stand for discussions in offices or on production floor.
  • Travel: able to travel independently and at short notice, potentially internationally.
  • Walking (include routine walking such as to a shared printer to retrieve documents): able to walk through office and production areas including uneven surfaces.
  • Personal Protective Equipment required: Required PPE includes, but is not limited to, Safety Shoes, Safety Glasses, Hearing Protection, Respirators/Masks, and/or Protective Gloves as required by site and/or customer site
  • Administrative position only PPE required: Steel-toed shoes are required for all shop floor visit, appropriate hearing/eye protection may also be required when visiting the shop floor.
