Job Description:
UPS Procurement is seeking qualified undergraduate or graduate students for our 2026 Summer Internship program.
The UPS internship program is designed to immerse interns into corporate culture and expose them to real-life, hands-on business interactions with management. Interns participate in business meetings, deliver presentations to senior management, and collaborate with cross-functional groups to accomplish project goals.
The various intern positions across the department include roles to develops tools to improve the strategic sourcing processes, support analytics initiatives, support development and training platforms, strategize data-driven communications and advance project management.

Responsibilities and Duties:
  • Helps develop category implementation plans to ensure continuous process improvement.

  • Creates complex spreadsheets, documents, reports, and presentations.

  • Supports the execution of contracts within the assigned commodity.

  • Assists with Requests for Information (RFIs), Request for Proposals (RFPs), financial and performance clauses, metrics, terms, and penalties to ensure the best bid among vendors.

  • Assists in the development of fact-based negotiation strategies to obtain the best value.

  • Maintains and contributes weekly and monthly reporting.

  • Supports buyers in their daily functions as needed.

  • Supports team in identifying ways to reduce costs through competitive sourcing initiatives.

  • Supports and enforces Procurement policies to ensure compliance.

Qualifications:
  • A rising sophomore, junior, senior, or recent graduate in recent 24 months Experience with vendor sourcing - Preferred

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, and Outlook

  • Experience with negotiations - Preferred

  • Experience with contract management - Preferred

  • Must be a U.S. Citizen or National of the U.S., an alien lawfully admitted for permanent residence, or an alien authorized to work in the U.S. for this employer

  • Employer will not sponsor a visa for this or future positions

  • Must be currently located in the same geographic location as the job or willing to relocate yourself
