Job Description Summary

The Associate Specialist, Procurement will operate within the Procurement Leadership Office, supporting the Vice President of Procurement & broader Procurement Leadership Team.
This role is structured as an early-career development opportunity, providing exposure to procurement strategy, supplier management & the source-to-contract lifecycle while contributing to execution across key initiatives.
The position will enable efficient operation of the leadership team through preparation, coordination & follow-up, while building foundational procurement capabilities through hands-on support of sourcing activities & stakeholder engagement.
The role will interact with all functions in the company & provide visibility into how procurement priorities align to enterprise objectives. Successful performance in this role may provide a pathway to future opportunities in Procurement Sourcing roles.

Job Description

  • Support the Vice President of Procurement + Procurement Leadership Team in planning, prioritization & execution of overall sourcing activities
  • Support spend analysis and opportunity assessments to identify sourcing, cost optimization, and process improvement opportunities.
  • Participate in contract review and source-to-contract activities to develop commercial acumen.
  • Support preparation for supplier negotiations and observe negotiation strategy development.
  • Prepare briefing materials, summaries & pre-reads to enable effective leadership decision-making
  • Capture & drive follow-ups, supporting alignment & accountability
  • Draft communications, presentations & executive updates
  • Coordinate leadership meetings and maintain visibility to priorities, risks & progress
  • Support sourcing events & procurement processes, including data gathering + supplier research
  • Assist in development of sourcing strategies & stakeholder engagement plans
  • Participate in supplier interactions to build foundational commercial & negotiation skills
  • Collaborate cross-functionally to understand business requirements & procurement's role in delivering value
  • Build relationships across functions to develop business acumen & influence early in career

Basic & Preferred Qualifications

  • 0-2 years of experience in a business environment
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • Strong organizational, analytical & communication skills
  • Ability to synthesize information translate to support executive level deliverables
