Who We Are
Aurex is a mission-focused aerospace and defense company building the next frontier of deterrence. From hypersonics and missile defense to hardened networks and orbital systems, we design, test, and deliver the platforms that turn unproven ideas into battlefield-ready capability. Born in Huntsville and built for speed, Aurex brings together aerospace veterans, combat-tested operators, and forward-leaning technologists to solve problems that matter fast. We move from whiteboard to warfighter with precision, clarity, and zero tolerance for fluff.

Job Description
Aurex is seeking a high-impact Agile Program Manager to drive execution across complex Department of Defense programs. This role sits at the intersection of acquisition strategy, program delivery, and operational execution, owning the rhythm, structure, and outcomes of mission-critical efforts. You will lead Agile program execution in a defense environment, aligning cross-functional teams, government stakeholders, and technical contributors to deliver capability at speed. This is not a passive coordination role. You are expected to bring structure to ambiguity, enforce accountability, and ensure programs move with urgency and discipline. In this role, you will lead Agile execution across DoD programs, ensuring alignment with mission objectives, timelines, and contractual requirements. You will partner with government customers, internal leadership, and technical teams to drive outcomes and remove barriers, while tracking program performance, risks, and dependencies and implementing mitigation strategies proactively. You will ensure compliance with DoD acquisition frameworks, contract structures, and reporting requirements, drive continuous improvement across Agile processes, tools, and team performance, and maintain clear, concise communication across stakeholders at all levels.

Required:

  • 7+ years of experience with DoD acquisition planning, contract management, and business operations
  • 5+ years of experience implementing Agile frameworks and methodologies
  • 5+ years of experience with Agile program increment planning, sprint planning, and sprint reviews
  • 5+ years of experience with project management and leadership
  • Experience with Agile tools, including Jira and Confluence
  • Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook
  • Ability to work with internal and external clients, including cross-functional team meetings and professional environments
  • Active Secret clearance
  • Bachelors degree

Desired:

  • Experience with Adaptive Acquisition Framework, including Middle Tier and Software Acquisition Pathways
  • Experience with Award Fee boards and incentive fee contracts
  • Experience supporting DoD space, SATCOM, or satellite ground systems programs
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Strong teaming and leadership skills
  • Masters degree
  • Active Top-Secret clearance

How You Will Be Rewarded
The salary range for this role is $190,000 - $230,000 per year. We offer a comprehensive total rewards approach to compensation, providing incentives and benefits that extend far beyond the base salary. Compensation is determined by the candidates work experience, education, training, and relevant skills. We offer a competitive benefits package designed to support our employees' health, well-being, and professional growth.
