Job description

USG is evolving its digital customer experience and translating the objective of being easiest to do business with into a sustainable technology roadmap. The digital transformation includes upgrading our technology stack and augmenting our teams, developing new digital platforms, and integrating a best-in-class eCommerce operating model to deliver exceptional customer experience from design planning to order delivery. The digital services are based on to be improved data and process models and will be provided for all our customers in the US, Canada, and LATAM.

Position Summary:

As an Agile Delivery Coach at USG, you will serve as a key enabler of Agile transformation and delivery excellence across our Customer Experience Digital Transformation (CXDT) initiative. This role will lead by example, combining hands-on Scrum Master duties with the broader perspective of an Agile Coach.

This position will facilitate agile ceremonies, coach and mentor teams, and drive the implementation of scaled Agile frameworks (SAFe) to enhance collaboration, productivity, and business value. This position is highly visible and collaborative, engaging with cross-functional and global teams to foster a culture of high performance, adaptability, and continuous improvement.

Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities

As the Agile Delivery Coach, you will champion Agile principles and practices across cross-functional teams, creating a supportive and collaborative culture that drives continuous improvement. You will facilitate key Scrum ceremonies, ensure clear communication, remove impediments to productivity, and support teams in delivering predictable, high-quality value. Your proactive coaching and mentoring will empower teams and individuals to mature in their Agile journey while fostering transparency and accountability.

Additionally, you will work closely with Product Owners, stakeholders, and global counterparts to prioritize work, align deliverables, and adapt Agile processes to evolving business needs. You will coordinate cross-team collaboration, manage metrics and reporting on project health, and share best practices across the organization—helping USG advance its Agile maturity across the Americas.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead ceremonies (sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives) ensuring alignment, participation, and clear outcomes across digital teams.

• Champion Agile principles across multiple teams, facilitating a modified PI planning structure, cross-team collaboration, and continuous improvement initiatives.

• Enable stakeholder engagement by partnering with Product Owners, team leads, and business leaders to groom backlogs, set priorities, and manage dependencies.

• Oversee end-to-end delivery of workstreams, ensuring timely and high-quality delivery of business-critical features in both cloud and on-premises environments.

• Build and manage cross-entity backlog collection and prioritization process.

• Remove impediments, facilitate conflict resolution, foster a psychologically safe environment, and build team accountability.

• Coach and mentor Project Managers, Product Owners, Team Leads and team members, accelerating Agile maturity and adopting best practices throughout the organization.

• Implement and track team performance metrics, using JIRA, Confluence, and other tools, to support transparency, feedback, and iterative improvement.

• Support resource and capacity planning, ensuring teams are equipped to meet business goals.

• Promote a culture of experimentation, learning, and inclusion, maintaining knowledge of leading-edge Agile trends.

• Act as a US-based ambassador, aligning CXDT initiatives with global objectives in North America and beyond.

• Ensure clear reporting on project status, progress, and metrics to senior leadership and stakeholders.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems or related field.

• Minimum 6 years’ combined experience as an Agile Coach, Scrum Master, or Agile Delivery Lead, including successful delivery in digital, or SaaS/cloud environments.

• Certified Scrum Master (CSM/PSM) and SAFe Agilist or SAFe Program Consultant; additional Product Owner or Agile certifications are a plus.

• Hands-on experience coaching, facilitating, and scaling Agile teams (Scrum, Kanban, SAFe), including hybrid and distributed teams.

• Strong familiarity with Agile project management tools (JIRA, Confluence, Azure DevOps, ServiceNow) and metrics tracking.

• Deep understanding of enterprise business systems and experience with cloud technologies or CI/CD pipelines is strongly preferred.

• Proven skill in organizational change, conflict resolution, stakeholder communication, and team development.

• Self-motivated, adaptable, and able to influence without authority in a matrixed environment.

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
