  • Coach teams, Product Owners, stakeholders, and leadership on Agile principles, Scrum frameworks, and Lean delivery practices.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives that enhance team velocity, predictability, quality, and stakeholder satisfaction.
  • Partner with Product Owners to maintain healthy backlogs, prioritize work, and define clear acceptance criteria.
  • Remove organizational impediments and proactively resolve blockers impacting project delivery.
  • Manage project scope, timelines, budgets, risks, dependencies, and stakeholder expectations.
  • Develop project roadmaps and delivery plans aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Collaborate with Epic analysts, application teams, infrastructure teams, and operational stakeholders to ensure successful project execution.
  • Track Agile metrics including sprint velocity, burndown, throughput, and team health indicators.
  • Facilitate stakeholder workshops, requirements sessions, and solution design discussions.
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations, HIPAA requirements, and organizational governance standards.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and communication on project status, risks, and outcomes.
  • Support organizational Agile maturity by mentoring teams and promoting Agile best practices.

Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree preferred.
  • 5+ years of healthcare IT project management experience.
  • 2+ years supporting Epic EMR implementations, upgrades, optimizations, or operational initiatives.
  • 3+ years serving as a Scrum Master, Agile Coach, or Agile Project Manager.
  • Strong understanding of Scrum, Kanban, SAFe, Lean, and Agile delivery frameworks.
  • Experience facilitating Agile ceremonies and coaching cross-functional teams.
  • Proven success managing multiple concurrent projects within healthcare environments.
  • Strong knowledge of Epic modules such as Cadence, Prelude, Resolute, MyChart, Ambulatory, ClinDoc, or related applications.
  • Exceptional stakeholder management, communication, and facilitation skills.
  • Experience using Jira, Azure DevOps, Rally, or similar Agile management tools.
  • Ability to influence teams without direct authority.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Certified Scrum Master (CSM)
  • Advanced Certified Scrum Master (A-CSM)
  • Certified Scrum Professional (CSP)
  • SAFe Scrum Master (SSM)
  • SAFe Agilist (SA)
  • PMI-ACP
  • PMP
  • Epic certification(s)
  • Healthcare consulting experience
  • Experience leading Agile transformations or organizational Agile maturity initiatives
  • Experience working within provider, hospital, health system, or academic medical center environments

Success in This Role
The successful candidate will be able to:
  • Lead strategic Epic initiatives from inception through delivery.
  • Build high-performing Agile teams.
  • Improve team effectiveness and delivery predictability.
  • Facilitate collaboration between technical, operational, and clinical stakeholders.
  • Balance project governance requirements with Agile delivery practices.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor to both clients and internal leadership teams.

This version will appeal to candidates who have both Epic healthcare project leadership experience and true Scrum Master/Agile coaching experience, which is often what health systems are seeking as they move away from purely waterfall Epic projects.
