Locationย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  : Atlanta, GA Onsite (Need candidates only local to Georgia)

Durationย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย ย  : 6+ months with possible extension

Prior state experience is mandatory

Overview:

Under broad supervision, the Scrum Master Coach manages projects through the full life cycle and collaborates with internal and external teams to deliver project outcomes. This role focuses on coaching IT Team Leads in Scrum and Kanban practices, improving Agile adoption, and reinforcing Clientโ€™s processes to enhance productivity and workflow efficiency.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate and train IT Team Leads to run Scrum events including daily stand-ups, sprint planning, reviews, retrospectives, and ticket board clean-up.
  • Coach IT Team Leads and teams on Scrum and Kanban principles to promote self-organization, accountability, and continuous improvement.
  • Train leads to manage incidents, identify blockers, perform dependency analysis, and remove impediments.
  • Guide daily backlog management aligned with IT leadership priorities.
  • Promote continuous improvement through retrospectives and ensure actionable follow-ups.
  • Reinforce adherence to Scrum (for development teams) and Kanban (for infrastructure/operations).
  • Foster collaboration between Scrum and Kanban teams to support incremental deployments.
  • Document training, best practices, and team working agreements to enhance effectiveness.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • 5+ years experience working with Agile teams.
  • Strong knowledge of Scrum and Kanban methodologies.
  • Excellent facilitation, coaching, mentoring, and documentation skills.
  • Ability to identify and resolve team impediments and conflicts.
  • Experience managing and prioritizing backlogs aligned with leadership direction.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills across technical and stakeholder groups.
  • Proficient with Jira, Confluence, ServiceNow (ITSM & Agile Modules), MS Teams, and Office365.
  • Servant leadership mindset.

Certification: Agile Certification required (Scrum Master minimum)
