About This Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and compassionate individual to lead our afterschool program.

With a focus on building strong relationships and providing a fun, structured environment, this role is ideal for those passionate about working with children.

A key component of this role is effectively managing behavior in a small group setting and creating a positive, trusting relationship with our students.

While prior experience in behavior management is a plus, we are looking for a team member who is eager to learn and grow with our program.

The ideal candidate will have excellent leadership and communication skills, as well as a strong work ethic and a positive attitude.

What You'll Do
  • Supervise independent play and group interactions, ensuring a safe and engaging environment for all students
  • Assist with homework and provide academic support, helping students build confidence and succeed in their studies
  • Plan and facilitate small projects and activities, fostering creativity and a love of learning in our students
  • Transport students from local schools to the center, providing a convenient and reliable service for families
  • Monitor behaviors and activities of school-aged children, intervening when necessary to prevent conflicts or misbehavior
  • Maintain daily records and ensure a safe, structured environment, staying organized and on top of program details
  • Problem-solve and troubleshoot behavioral challenges, working with students to develop positive coping strategies and behaviors

  • Valid Drivers License/Clean record
  • A growth mindset and a passion for working with children
  • Reliable transportation
  • CPR & First Aid certification
  • Valid Fingerprint Clearance Card
  • Must be 18 or older
