JOB TITLE: Sales Manager
PAY GRADE:
REPORTS TO: Director Sales and Marketing

The following description is not intended as an exhaustive list of all responsibilities, duties, and skills required of personnel so classified. Management retains the discretion to add to or change the duties of the position at any time.
Summary
Responds to customer requests and questions regarding technical, large, or complex service, products, and accounts. Analyzes and rectifies customer concerns using established procedures. May use a computer to access and/or update customer records.
JOB FUNCTIONS:
  • Reviews customer requests for service to ascertain cause for service request, type of malfunction, and customer address.
  • Determines staff hours, number of personnel, and parts and equipment required for service call.
  • Prepares schedules for service personnel, assigns personnel to route or specific repair and maintenance work.
  • Arranges transportation of machines and equipment to customerโ€™s location for installation or from customerโ€™s location to shop for repairs that are performed on premises.
  • Keeps records of work hours and parts utilized, and work performed for each service call.
  • Requisitions replacement parts and supplies.
  • Contacts service personnel over radio or telephone to obtain or give information and directions regarding service or installation activities.
  • Responsible for data entry and maintaining a database containing engineering and customer part numbers.
  • Creating and maintaining bills of material for items produced.
  • Must be able to work with and coordinate input and data from multiple sources.

As Necessary, performs other related duties of which the above representative.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:
Specifications of Education and Training, Job Related Experience, and knowledge/abilities are general guidelines based on the minimum experience normally considered essential to the satisfactory performances of this job by the average incumbent. Individual abilities may result in some deviation from these guidelines.

MINIMUM EDUCATION AND TRAINING:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

MINIMUM DIRECTLY RELATED JOB EXPERIENCE:
  • Two years experience in a manufacturing environment.

*Management must contact the Human Resource department of adding to or changing a significant number of duties.

MINIMUM KNOWLEDGE, ABILITIES, AND SKILLS:
  • Organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of basic mathematics.
  • Ability to interact with a team of coworkers.
  • Customer contact skills.
  • Computer literate.
  • Able to read and comprehend documentation written in the English language.
  • Written communication skills.

PHYSICAL MOTION:
