Job description

Job Summary:
Adobe is redefining creativity and digital experience through AI, and they are seeking an AI-native Senior Director of Product Management to lead the Developer Platform and AI Platform organization. This role involves owning the developer platform product portfolio, defining the strategic vision, and ensuring a seamless developer experience while managing a world-class product management team.
Responsibilities:
• Own the developer platform product portfolio – from the multi-cloud Kubernetes platform to API gateways, SDKs, developer tools, source code and artifact repositories, and the customer-facing application builder experience and the marketplace of extensions and plugins.
• Set the north-star for Adobe's external developer experience and drive adoption metrics.
• Define the vision for infrastructure that turns Adobe from a product suite into a programmable platform.
• Own the overall strategic vision for Adobe’s Developer Platform.
• Build and maintain a culture of relentless focus on execution.
• Remove process bottlenecks, streamline communications, automate the SDLC intelligently with AI.
• Lead the product vision for internal AI-powered developer tools - code generation assistants, automated testing and review, intelligent CI/CD, knowledge retrieval systems, and agentic workflow tooling.
• Maintain regular cadence of communication with client leaders and engineering teams to keep them informed about our plans, priorities and progress, and to hear their feedback.
• Serve as a voice of the platform across the organization and the broader external technology community.
• Build, mentor, and lead a world-class product management organization of 15–25 PMs across multiple sub-teams.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 12+ years of product management experience, with at least 3 years leading an AI/ML platform and/or developer platform offering.
• Experience with developer relations and ecosystem growth is strongly valued.
• You've built or led platforms consumed by large internal engineering organizations and/or external developer ecosystems.
• You understand API design principles, extensibility patterns, multi-tenancy, rate limiting, versioning strategy, and what it takes to earn and keep developer trust.
• You can go deep on containerized compute, retrieval-augmented generation, LLM fine-tuning strategies, inference optimization, and agentic AI patterns.
• You're comfortable reviewing system design documents, debating latency-vs-accuracy tradeoffs with principal engineers, and making informed decisions about model selection, orchestration frameworks, and infrastructure costs.
• You can synthesize signal from noise, make high-conviction bets with incomplete information, and adjust course without losing organizational momentum.
• You've operated in fast-moving domains where the competitive window is measured in months, not years.
• You've built and led PM teams of 10+ across multiple product areas.
• You know how to hire senior PMs who are better than you in their domain, how to create clarity of ownership across overlapping surfaces, and how to drive alignment with engineering, design, research, legal, and executive leadership.
• You understand the critical imperative to adapt to the drastic changes we’re seeing in the technology industry and are excited by the challenge of helping us to rapidly reinvent our ways of working to ensure we can meet the customer needs of tomorrow.
• You hold a technical degree (CS, Math, Engineering, or related field) or related experience.
Preferred:
• You've led the developer platform or AI platform Product Management function at a company with 5,000+ engineers or built a developer ecosystem serving 100K+ third-party developers.
• You've driven the adoption of AI-augmented software development tooling within a large engineering organization.
• You're a boundaryless leader, who will collaborate across Adobe and with our customers to achieve big outcomes regardless of where that journey takes you.
• You are obsessed with customer experience and achieving real outcomes and impact.
• You are comfortable across a wide range of technical systems and topics – able to converse on everything from agentic coding, to CI/CD best practices, to observability, evaluations and orchestration in agentic architectures.
• You are excited to re-invent the entire software development lifecycle to become AI-first and take advantage of new ways of working and collapsing role boundaries.
• Advanced degree is a plus but not required - we value what you've built over where you studied.
Company:
Adobe is a software company that provides its users with digital marketing and media solutions. Founded in 1982, the company is headquartered in San Jose, USA, with a team of 10001+ employees. The company is currently Late Stage.
