Job Summary: 

We're looking for an experiencedAdobe Commerce (Magento 2) Developer to take ownership of our custom e-commerceplatform. This is a hands-on role for someone who wants to own architecture,maintenance, and new feature development - not just work tickets. We're anAI-first team: you'll be expected to use AI coding agents (such as Claude Code)to plan and write the majority of production code, while personally owningarchitecture decisions, code review, and quality.

Salary: $90,000 - $105,000 per annum

Location: on-site at our Oakville, Ontario facility.


Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and extend a customizedMagento 2 codebase - custom modules, plugins, themes, and third-partyextensions
  • Manage integrations with ERP,fulfillment, and payment systems via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Handle platform patches, upgrades,performance monitoring, and troubleshooting
  • Direct AI coding agents to planand implement features, while reviewing all code and owning production quality
  • Improve deployment workflows andenvironment consistency (staging/production)
  • Communicate clearly withnon-technical stakeholders on scope, timelines, and tradeoffs

Skills and Qualifications:

  • 3+ years hands-on Adobe Commerce(Magento 2) development experience - custom modules, plugins/observers, layoutXML, EAV model
  • Strong PHP (7.4+/8.x) and solidunderstanding of Magento 2 architecture and dependency injection
  • Experience working with anexisting/legacy Magento codebase, not just new builds
  • Experience integrating Magentowith external systems via REST/SOAP APIs
  • Practical, hands-on experienceusing AI coding tools (Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, or similar) to planand implement real production code
  • Comfortable working independentlywith minimal day-to-day oversight

Nice to have:

  • Adobe Commerce Cloud experience
  • Apache NiFi or similar datapipeline tools (can be learned on the job)
  • B2B e-commerce experience
