Job Title: Full Stack and Training Developer Job Category: Engineering Time Type: Full time Minimum Clearance Required to Start: TS/SCI Employee Type: Regular Percentage of Travel Required: Up to 25% Type of Travel: Local * * * CACI is seeking a versatile, multidisciplinary developer to design, build, and sustain an interactive Technical Documentation Platform delivered as a web application hosted on the program system and an embedded training suite that includes an Learning Management System. This position integrates full stack development of the Technical Documentation Platform and LMS, instructional content development into a single role. The successful candidate combines strong software engineering fundamentals including web development, JSON content management, and CI/CD with proven instructional-content production skills across video, technical documentation, and interactive courseware.
Working closely with engineering teams and government stakeholders, you will deliver and maintain the application code, interactive components, instructional media, and LMS environment that translate complex shipboard system documentation into clear, maintainable, and standards-compliant training and reference material. Key Responsibilities
Technical Documentation Platform Development (Full Stack)
• Design, develop, and maintain the platform front end using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Architect and maintain the JSON content database, structuring, updating, and validating the content entries that drive the platform.
• Build and maintain back-end services and tooling using Node.js and Python (content automation, build pipelines, data processing).
• Develop interactive and 3D training components using Unity and C# for embedded simulation, walkthroughs, and visualization.
• Build, maintain, and operate CI/CD pipelines for the platform and training tool, source control, automated builds, testing, and deployment applying sound full stack development disciplines (branching strategy, code review, versioning).
• Containerize and package the platform, training tool, and supporting services using Docker; build deployment bundles/images and orchestrate them with Kubernetes (K8s) and Helm.
Instructional Content Development
• Develop video tutorials: recording, editing, and producing screen-capture and instructional video using Camtasia.
• Author and maintain PDF user guides and technical documentation supporting the platform and onboard system.
• Create, format, and load instructional content into the platform, updating the JSON database with new and revised material.
• Apply instructional-design methodology to translate system documentation into clear, task-based learning and reference content.
LMS Development & Courseware
• Develop and maintain the LMS front end and back end for the onboard embedded training tool (Moodle).
• Build interactive LMS courseware using Adobe Captivate, H5P, and Articulate Storyline / Rise.
• Publish and validate content to SCORM, xAPI, and AICC standards and deploy to the Moodle LMS.
• Administer, configure, and customize Moodle: course/user management, plugins, and theming - for the embedded training environment. Required Qualifications
• Active TS/SCI clearance
• 5+ years of relevant experience (or 7+ years without a related degree).
• Proficiency in front-end web technologies: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
• Strong working knowledge of JSON, including managing and updating JSON-based content databases.
• Proficiency in back-end/scripting technologies: Node.js and Python.
• Experience developing interactive or 3D content with Unity and C#.
• Hands-on proficiency with eLearning authoring tools: Adobe Captivate, H5P, and Articulate.
• Experience producing video tutorials with Camtasia and developing PDF user guides.
• Experience producing SCORM/xAPI-compliant courseware and developing/administering a Moodle LMS (front-end and back-end).
• Familiarity working in Linux operating systems.
• Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and full stack development disciplines: version control and branching (Git), automated build/test/deployment, code review, and configuration management.
