Description

The University Admission Assistant is a seasonal part-time staff role in the Office of Undergraduate Admission that participates in a team effort to prepare admission applications for review by full-time staff. This includes reviewing the transcript and recalculating the high school GPA for each applicant. This is a seasonal position from September 1 through March 1 and is entirely remote. During September and mid-October, the position requires 3-5 hours of work per week. From mid-October through February, the position requires 15-30 hours per week with 30 hours required each week during the month of January. 

JOB DESCRIPTION:

  • Assists in the application evaluation process by reviewing student transcripts, recalculating high school GPAs, and maintaining departmental databases.
  • Maintains required record-keeping. 
  • Performs related responsibilities as required. 

ADDITIONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Data entry for record keeping.
  • Developing proficiency in reading a variety of different high school transcripts and high school profiles.
  • Attending regular training sessions and meetings.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: 

  • Bachelor's degree and one year of administrative experience.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Prior admissions or industry experience preferred but not required.
