The Consortium for Graduate Study in Management (CGSM) is a mission-driven community that connects prospective MBA students, member schools, alumni, and corporate partners to expand access and opportunity in graduate management education.


We recruit and support talented applicants, collaborate closely with our member schools, and convene the community through our Orientation Program and year-round recruitment and engagement events. Our work is student-centered, operationally rigorous, and deeply mission-aligned—focused on delivering a high-quality candidate experience while helping our member schools build strong, diverse incoming classes.


About the Role

We are hiring a Manager, Admissions Operations role to serve as the primary administrator and strategic owner of The Consortium's Slate CRM and application operations. This role is responsible for maintaining application and enrollment processes, ensuring data integrity, managing application workflows, supporting reporting and data sharing, and providing technical expertise to staff, member schools, and applicants.


The ideal candidate possesses advanced Slate knowledge, strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail, and experience managing admissions operations within a higher education environment.


Slate Administration and Systems Management (40%)

  • Serve as the primary administrator and operational owner of the Slate CRM system. 
  • Manage and maintain application workflows, forms, portals, communications, queries, reports, and business rules within Slate. 
  • Configure and maintain application materials, decision workflows, applicant communications, and enrollment processes. 
  • Ensure the accuracy, integrity, and security of application and enrollment data. 
  • Conduct regular quality assurance testing and process audits to ensure system functionality and data accuracy. 
  • Monitor and troubleshoot system issues, identifying opportunities for process improvements and automation. 
  • Maintain documentation of system processes, workflows, and operational procedures. 
  • Partner with internal stakeholders to identify enhancements that improve operational efficiency and the applicant experience.


Application Operations and Processing (15%)

  • Lead the annual application launch process, including implementation of application updates and ongoing maintenance.
  • Manage school-referred application processes, including tracking, review coordination, and communication of outcomes.
  • Import and validate standardized test score data and other external data sources.
  • Monitor incomplete applications and oversee outreach regarding missing materials prior to application deadlines.
  • Maintain application processing timelines and ensure adherence to established service standards.


Reporting and Data Management (15%)

  • Develop and maintain dashboards, reports, and data views for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Manage member school portal functionality and data-sharing processes.
  • Coordinate the release of applicant and enrollment data to member schools.
  • Produce ad hoc reports and analyses to support recruitment, admissions, and organizational decision-making.


Application Reviews and Decision Management (15%)

  • Support application review processes and maintain review workflows within Slate.
  • Coordinate membership decision processing and decision releases.
  • Manage applicant status updates and decision visibility for member schools.
  • Oversee appeals workflows and communicate updated decisions as necessary.
  • Coordinate applicant communications related to admissions decisions through the application portal.


User Support and Training (10%)

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for Slate-related questions and technical issues.
  • Provide technical support to staff, member schools, and applicants.
  • Coordinate with Slate support and submit system enhancement requests as needed.
  • Develop training materials and provide ongoing training to staff and stakeholders.


Recruitment and Student Engagement Support (5%)

  • Support recruitment operations through targeted Slate communications and campaign execution.
  • Manage event-related communications and applicant outreach within Slate.
  • Respond to applicant inquiries regarding the application process.
  • Support incoming student onboarding processes, including management of operational workflows within Slate.
  • Assist with recruitment events ad Orientation Program operations as needed.


Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree required in a related field.
  • Three to five years of admissions operations, enrollment management, or higher education CRM experience. 
  • Proficient in Slate CRM.
  • Experience maintaining complex datasets and ensuring data integrity. 
  • Strong analytical and reporting skills. 
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. 
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and competing priorities. 


Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience serving as a Slate administrator. 
  • Experience supporting application review and enrollment operations. 
  • Knowledge of higher education admissions processes. 
  • Experience training users and documenting operational processes.
