Job description

The System Administrator ensures the Bank's servers and network are properly maintained and secure. Manages and maintains a large install base of computers running versions of operating systems. Responsible for implementing new technologies and fielding technical escalations from internal staff.
Essential Functions:
  • Network and Server Support:
    • Support the Bank's user community by maintaining and installing applications at the network/server level.
    • Working with Virtual Desktop Interface (VDI) including branch rollout, staging, and prep work.
    • Supporting and maintaining a wide range of other technologies.
    • Maintain current file and directory structure and security.
    • Perform proactive maintenance as required to keep the network running.
    • Monitor and test backups, replication, and procedures.
    • Provide Level 3 escalation for employee issues.
    • Troubleshoot and resolve server problems.
    • Maintain Microsoft updates, and patches on servers, and other infrastructure security.
    • Perform regular updates/maintenance on appliances, servers, server-based software.
    • Provide escalation/emergency support in the on-call rotation schedule.
    • Assist with SAN support and necessary maintenance.
    • Ensure periodic recovery testing of disaster recovery plans.
    • Perform upgrades for bank applications.
    • Under direction, carry out network changes, server changes, maintenance plans, and break-fix solutions.
    • Accomplishes tasks through concern for all areas involved; shows concern for all aspects of the job; accurately checks for processes and tasks and follows up in a timely manner with appropriate persons.
    • Takes responsibility for own learning and development by acquiring and refining of technical and professional skills needed in job related areas; proactively seeks performance feedback and identifies approaches to improve own performance.

  • Network and Server Project Implementation
    • Attends project meetings, participate and communicate status, roadblocks, or delays with project tasks.
    • Carry out detailed tasks defined by project plans.
    • Provide regular updates on status of project tasks.

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology or similar field and 5 years of experience in information technology, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience with Powershell.
  • Expertise in troubleshooting computer hardware and software issues.
  • Knowledge of VOIP phone system networks, VPN access, connections and services.
  • Expertise with Windows Server, Active Directory, Exchange Online.
  • Expertise in the following: Microsoft O365, VDI/Xen, VMware, Network Infrastructure (Routers and switches).
  • Expertise in all System Utility applications.
  • Expertise in maintaining backup solutions.
  • Valid Driver's License
  • Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate, Comp TIA Network+ certification, Windows Server Hybrid Administrator Associates, VMware Certifications (VCTA/VCP), Citrix Certifications (CCA) and/or Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) preferred.

Compensation:
The hiring range for this position is $38.85-$53.45 per hour. The compensation offered will fall within this range, commensurate with the candidate's applicable experience, education and skills.
