Job Summary

We are seeking a compassionate and energetic Activities Aide to join our team in Sterling Heights, MI. The Activities Aide will assist in planning, organizing, and implementing recreational and social activities for residents to promote physical, mental, and emotional well-being.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in developing and conducting daily activities and programs tailored to residents’ interests and abilities.
  • Support residents in participating in group and individual activities.
  • Prepare materials and set up activity areas prior to events.
  • Encourage social interaction and engagement among residents.
  • Monitor residents’ participation and report any concerns or changes in behavior to supervisory staff.
  • Maintain a safe, clean, and organized activity environment.
  • Collaborate with other staff members to ensure activities meet the needs of all residents.
  • Assist with transportation of residents to and from activities as needed.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous experience in recreational activities, caregiving, or related field preferred.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with elderly or disabled individuals.
  • Patience, creativity, and enthusiasm for working with residents.
