About the Opportunity

We are seeking a detail-oriented Procurement / Sourcing Specialist II to support logistics and supply chain operations for large-scale industrial projects. In this role, you will coordinate material movements, manage transportation activities, maintain logistics documentation, and collaborate with suppliers, carriers, project teams, and quality personnel to ensure materials are delivered safely, accurately, and on schedule.

The ideal candidate has experience in logistics, transportation, or supply chain coordination within industrial, energy, manufacturing, pipeline, or construction environments and enjoys working in a fast-paced, project-driven setting.

Key ResponsibilitiesLogistics & Transportation Coordination
  • Coordinate domestic transportation for materials, fabricated equipment, and project components.
  • Schedule freight shipments and coordinate trucking activities with carriers and suppliers.
  • Track shipments from origin through final delivery.
  • Monitor shipment status and proactively resolve transportation delays.
  • Maintain accurate shipment logs, delivery records, and transportation documentation.
  • Update shipment information within the Transportation Management System (TMS).
Procurement & Supplier Coordination
  • Coordinate supplier readiness for shipment.
  • Issue Release-to-Ship documentation.
  • Communicate shipping instructions, documentation requirements, and delivery schedules to suppliers and carriers.
  • Work closely with procurement, sourcing, warehouse, and project teams to support material availability.
  • Assist with procurement and logistics planning to meet project schedules.
Documentation & Compliance
  • Maintain logistics documentation using digital document management systems.

  • Verify packing slips, bills of lading, and delivery confirmations.
  • Support QA/QC documentation throughout the shipping process.
  • Ensure compliance with transportation regulations and company procedures.
Material & Project Support
  • Coordinate material staging and laydown yard activities.
  • Monitor material readiness for shipment.
  • Support project teams with logistics planning and delivery updates.
  • Communicate shipment milestones and transportation status to internal stakeholders.
  • Help identify process improvements to increase logistics efficiency.
Required Qualifications
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in logistics, transportation, supply chain, procurement, or sourcing coordination.
  • Experience coordinating freight scheduling and trucking operations.
  • Experience updating shipment information within a Transportation Management System (TMS).
  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and follow-up skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Experience within the energy, oil & gas, pipeline, fabrication, industrial, engineering, manufacturing, or construction industries.
