Position Summary
The Procurement Buyer is responsible for the end-to-end sourcing, purchasing, and supplier-management functions for high-usage and cost-critical items. Working closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality teams, the buyer ensures timely, cost-effective acquisition of materials while maintaining strong supplier relationships and driving continuous improvement.
Role and Responsibilities
Here's What You'll Be Responsible For:
  • Purchase Order Creation & Management: Design and implement workflows for purchase order generation, approval, and fulfillment, integrating with ERP or other procurement systems.
  • Manage High Usage and Inventory: Analyze consumption trends to optimize stocking of high usage items while reducing or eliminating low usage/zero bin inventory.
  • Negotiate Annual Pricing Agreements and Drive Project Execution: Secure cost saving agreements on parts, lead procurement projects through to implementation, and perform post implementation reviews to validate savings and project impact.
  • Lead Cost Saving and Efficiency Projects: Define project scopes, establish budgets and timelines, and oversee execution to achieve measurable cost reductions and workflow improvements.
  • Track and Report Procurement Related KPIs: Monitor key performance indicators, compile executive level reports, and provide actionable insights to support decision making and companywide goals.
  • Interface with Engineering & End Users: Coordinate with product, manufacturing, and quality teams to ensure smooth parts flow and that procurement processes meet technical and operational needs.
  • Participate in Global SCM Meetings: Attend supplier and engineering meetings to discuss procurement strategies, qualification plans, and future projects, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.

Skills and Qualifications
Here's what you'll need:
  • Bachelor's degree in business, Supply Chain Management, Operations, or a related field.
  • 4+ years of procurement / supply -chain experience.
  • Proficiency in inventory- management systems and Microsoft Office.
  • Strong analytical, problem -solving, and critical- thinking skills.
  • Excellent collaboration, communication, and time- management skills.

The current base salary range for this role is between $57,760 - $156,950. Individual base pay rates will depend on factors including duties, work location, education, skills, qualifications and experience. Total compensation for this position will include a competitive benefits package and may include participation in company incentive compensation programs, which are based on factors to include organizational and individual performance.
