TE Certified is seeking an experienced and motivated Accounting Manager to join our Accounting Department. As a key member of the finance team, the Accounting Manager will support the Controller in overseeing daily operations, ensuring accurate and timely reporting, and managing core accounting functions. This position will also play a vital role in process improvement, system optimization, and supporting the company's continued growth.


The ideal candidate will bring strong accounting expertise, proven leadership skills, and direct experience with Sage Intacct. Familiarity with ServiceTitan and CaptivateIQ (or similar commission platforms) is also highly preferred.


Responsibilities
  • Support the Controller in managing the day-to-day operations of the Accounting Department, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, payroll, and general ledger.
  • Prepare and review statements, ensuring accuracy and compliance with accounting standards.
  • Oversee and reconcile complex accounts, ensuring accuracy of data.
  • Assist in coordinating and reviewing weekly commission payroll (CaptivateIQ).
  • Manage the month-end and year-end close processes, including journal entries, accruals, and reconciliations.
  • Assist in preparing budgets, forecasts, and analysis to support decision-making.
  • Identify risks and opportunities, monitor performance, and explain variances to support strategic decision-making.
  • Partner with leadership and other business segments to enhance reporting processes, implement BI dashboards, and automate consolidated monthly reporting with variance commentary.
  • Perform independent analysis and support new initiatives with a solutions-driven approach.
  • Collaborate with operations teams to align accounting data with field performance (job costing, COGS, inventory).
  • Provide oversight and mentorship to staff accountants and accounting support team members.
  • Support Controller with internal controls, policy compliance, and audit readiness.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to streamline workflows and system integrations.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required; CPA or CMA preferred.
  • 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or senior accountant role.
  • Hands-on experience with Sage Intacct required.
  • Familiarity with ServiceTitan and CaptivateIQ (or similar commission platforms) strongly preferred.
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, modeling); experience with BI/reporting tools (e.g., Power BI) a plus.
  • Strong knowledge of accounting principles and reporting.
  • Demonstrated ability to use data and analytics to drive insights and decision-making.
