The General Ledger Accountant is responsible for maintaining the accuracy and integrity of OGT's financial records while supporting monthly and annual financial close activities. This position ensures financial transactions are properly recorded in accordance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies. This position requires an on-site presence. Oak Grove Technologies is a Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Business based in Raleigh, NC, with a Test and Training Center located near Fort Bragg and Camp Mackall. Driven by its mission-focused approach, the company seeks top talent to develop impactful solutions.  Requirements Essential Duties and Responsibilities * Prepare journal entries and supporting documentation for review and posting by the Accounting Manager/Controller.
* Maintain the accuracy and integrity of the General Ledger.
* Assist with month-end and year-end close processes, including reconciliations and financial reporting.
* Prepare and reconcile monthly Balance Sheet accounts.
* Reconcile General Ledger accounts and corporate credit card accounts on a monthly basis.
* Assist with fixed asset accounting, including asset tracking and depreciation schedules.
* Support the preparation of financial statements and other accounting reports.
* Assist the Accounting Manager/Controller with semi-monthly payroll processing.
* Support external audits and internal compliance reviews by preparing schedules and supporting documentation.
* Ensure compliance with GAAP, company policies, and established internal controls.
* Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and operational efficiencies.
* Perform other accounting and finance duties as assigned.
Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance.
* 1-2 years of professional accounting experience.
* Strong understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
* Experience supporting month-end and year-end close processes.
* Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
* Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
* Experience with ERP/accounting systems such as Unanet, Deltek Costpoint, SAP, or Oracle.
Preferred Skills * Government contracting experience.
* Experience with Unanet or Deltek Costpoint.
* Experience with payroll processing and fixed asset accounting.
* Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
