Description

The Consulting Solutions Executive - Hybrid Infrastructure is responsible for driving revenue growth by selling Hybrid Infrastructure services and solutions to Public Sector customers, including Federal Government, State & Local Government, and Aerospace & Defense organizations. This role supports full lifecycle sales execution, including strategic account planning, client engagement, business development, technical solution design, and opportunity management to expand CDW's market presence and achieve financial targets. Within the Government Solutions organization, the role combines Solutions Architect and Solution Executive responsibilities, balancing customer‑facing business development, consultative selling, and hands‑on technical solution development. The position serves as a trusted advisor to customers, helping design and deliver infrastructure modernization, data center, networking, cloud, AI, and related technology solutions that address mission and business objectives.

What You Will Do
  • Develop and execute strategies to expand CDW Hybrid Infrastructure's customer base and achieve bookings, revenue, and gross profit targets.

  • Build and maintain a comprehensive understanding of Hybrid Infrastructure capabilities, service offerings, and market positioning.

  • Cultivate and manage relationships with key stakeholders across client organizations.

  • Identify, engage, qualify, and develop new business opportunities.

  • Support full sales lifecycle management, including account planning, research, pursuit, and closure.

  • Develop Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Statements of Work (SOWs) to support customer solutions.

  • Apply data center expertise across VMware, HPE, Dell, and Cisco technologies when developing solutions.

  • Support state, local, federal, aerospace, and defense customers.

  • Partner with internal teams, including Subject Matter Experts, Practice Leadership, Sales Management, and Marketing, to drive successful sales cycles.

  • Build relationships with partners to identify joint opportunities.

  • Monitor industry trends impacting client strategy and investment decisions.

  • Maintain accurate sales pipeline reporting and forecasting in Salesforce.

  • Provide mentorship and onboarding support to entry‑level Solutions Executives.

  • Represent CDW through industry events, speaking engagements, and public-facing communication.

  • Provide strong customer support and technical leadership while working in a fast‑paced environment with changing priorities and limited resources.

What We ExpectofYou
  • Bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or a related technical field and 8+ years of experience identifying opportunities and managing full lifecycle sales for Hybrid Infrastructure services and products, or 12+ years of the same experience.

  • Mastery of at least five Hybrid Infrastructure focus areas, including IBM Power, Mainframe, Storage, Mainframe Storage, Hyper Converged Infrastructure (HCI), Data Protection, Enterprise Networking (Campus), Data Center Networking, and Wireless.

  • Demonstrated data center expertise, particularly with VMware, HPE, Dell, and Cisco technologies.

  • Experience developing Bills of Materials (BOMs) and Statements of Work (SOWs).

  • Experience in enterprise sales, including both strategic planning and execution.

  • Proven record of achieving or exceeding sales targets.

  • Strong ownership mindset with the ability to meet financial goals.

  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship‑building skills.

  • Ability to coordinate across internal teams and partner organizations.

  • Ability to manage changing priorities in a fast‑paced, resource‑constrained environment.

  • Ability to travel as required.

  • Experience as a security practitioner is a plus.
    Pay range: $91,000 - $127,500 depending on experience and skill set
    Annual bonus target of 66.67% subject to terms and conditions of plan
