Proofpoint is seeking a self-starting, responsible, mature, and highly motivated Renewal Account Manager to work closely with Sales Account Executives, Sales Engineers, and Support Management to ensure customer satisfaction and secure renewals across the existing customer base.

This role requires engaging with large enterprise customers at both the executive and technical levels. The successful candidate will have strong sales experience, sound business acumen, and excellent interpersonal and relationship management skills.

The Renewal Account Manager will play a hands-on role supporting the field sales organization, including direct participation in renewing strategic customer accounts.

This is a hybrid role requiring onsite work at the Sunnyvale, California; Draper, Utah; or Boston, Massachusetts office. Remote work may also be considered.

Key Responsibilities
  • Drive the qualification, quoting, and Salesforce processes with Account Managers and Regional Directors to successfully close renewals.
  • Accurately forecast daily, monthly, and quarterly renewal business using Salesforce and Clari.
  • Meet or exceed customer renewal revenue quota.
  • Coordinate multiple internal resources within customer accounts.
  • Establish and maintain strong executive-level customer relationships.
  • Proactively identify customer issues and work with the broader Proofpoint team to resolve them.
  • Research customer organizational structures and maintain accurate account information within Salesforce.com.
  • Gather and track customer implementation and support activity.
  • Maintain current knowledge of Proofpoint's competitive positioning in the marketplace.
  • Develop customer quotes and manage customer information within Salesforce.com.
QualificationsRequired Qualifications
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to clearly articulate Proofpoint's value proposition.
  • Highly organized with strong attention to detail and process.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and exercise sound judgment when resolving complex issues.
  • Ability to coordinate internal resources to execute complex sales strategies.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, and web conferencing tools.
  • Experience using Salesforce.com and other online business tools.
  • 4+ years of successful experience in account management, business development, or renewal sales.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience.
  • Experience selling to IT departments, IT management, and Legal organizations.

Base Pay Range: 26.97 - 37.07 USD

Base Pay Range: 21.25 - 29.25 USD

All other cities and states excluding those listed above:

Base Pay Range: 20.14 - 27.71 USD
