Job Summary:
Netflix is a leading entertainment company on a mission to entertain the world. They are seeking a Senior Software Engineer to develop innovative inventory management systems for their advertising platform, focusing on dynamic pricing and yield optimization.
Responsibilities:
• Developing cutting-edge inventory management systems which support various monetization strategies, including dynamic pricing, rate card management, product packaging, inventory segmentation, and yield optimization.
• Building highly performant advertising systems and delivering high impact to our business by monetizing our incredible slate of content.
• Ensuring advertiser brand safety during serving, ensuring members only see the most appropriate ads for them.
Qualifications:
Required:
• 10+ years of software development experience, with at least 5 years focused on developing inventory management systems.
• Demonstrated expertise in developing yield optimization systems, with a deep knowledge of inventory valuation.
• Experience in building systems for dynamic pricing, sell through rates, managing rate cards, segmenting and packaging inventory, and overseeing yield management.
• Strong understanding of auction mechanics and experience building systems for reserve pricing.
• Designed data models, platform abstractions, and public APIs to facilitate smooth interoperability with internal ads platform teams as well as seamless integrations with external order management systems.
• General understanding of the advertising marketplace and landscape, with a focus on publisher side challenges like optimizing fill rates and maximizing revenue in the context of inventory management.
• Track record of technical leadership across multiple teams, setting architectural direction and influencing cross-functional roadmaps
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building, and mentoring skills.
Preferred:
• Contributed to an ads industry technology standard (e.g VAST, OpenRTB) or worked on an industry consortium effort, working group etc.
• Familiarity with legal compliance and changing landscape of ads regulations around the world.
• Experience working in the CTV space and knowledge of its unique constraints
