Primary Job Description: Attentive to our customer needs with a welcoming personality; possesses a team oriented attitude with a desire to see success in themselves and others.
To promote and maintain positive relations with all customers and potential customers; to open new accounts (Checking, Savings, CD's, IRA's); to establish a rapport with the customer for cross-selling other bank products; provides general office support with a variety of clerical activities and related tasks; answers all incoming calls, directing calls to appropriate associates in a professional and courteous manner.
Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Maintain a strict standard of confidentiality involving all transactions.
  • Develop a working knowledge of all bank products.
  • Promote and maintain positive relations with all contacts, customers, and potential customers.
  • Comply with all department and company policies and procedures.
  • Contribute to the fulfillment of department and bank's objectives and goals.
  • Meet and greet customers.
  • Open and process new accounts, including DDA, Savings and Certificates of deposits.
  • Promote the bank's products and services; consistently cross-sell bank products at every opportunity.
  • Research and answer customer inquiries; quote products and rates.
  • Research and verify customer account information, and resolve problems for customers as necessary.
  • Assist in answering the telephone and transferring calls to the appropriate personnel.
  • Perform as a team member in allocating and coordinating the work flow.
  • May train new employees and answer co-worker questions.
  • Admit customers to safe deposit boxes.
  • Ensure that the branch office adheres to all Bank safe deposit regulations.
  • Assist loan applicants, checks credit, complete and process necessary documentation in accordance with Bank procedures.
  • Serve as back-up Teller on an "as needed" basis.

Education, Experience, Equipment Skills and other Requirements:

  2. Basic Accounting knowledge.

  4. Computer skills keyboard skills, knowledge of various computer programs, word processing software, spreadsheet software, email and use of the Internet.
  5. Must be comfortable being on camera and communicating with customers via video monitors.
  6. Excellent customer service skills.
  7. NCRC Certification minimum level of Bronze
  8. Satisfactory Credit Bureau and Background Reporting.
  9. Equipment: ten-key calculator, fax machine, photocopier, Integrated Teller Machine.
