As a door to door salesperson, you go from home to home, selling products to residents. Your primary duties are to visit customer locations, discuss the products or services you are selling, and attempt to make the sale. A career as a door to door salesperson requires you have basic sales experience, strong communication skills, and an entrepreneurial spirit. There are no formal qualifications, but as you may have to manage your own inventory, storage, and markdowns, you should have some basic small business skills. The best door to door salespeople are polite, well dressed, and respectful of customers’ needs.
