Lutheran Social Services of Central Ohio is currently seeking a Program Manager for Faith Mission in Columbus, Ohio. Faith Mission is one of the largest homeless shelters in Columbus, Ohio, providing meals and shelter to men, women and Veterans with dignity and compassion.

The Program Manager primary purpose is responsible for overseeing supportive services, grant compliance, reporting, program administration, and case management operations for grant-funded housing programs. This role ensures compliance with funder requirements while supporting high-quality, participant-centered supportive services that promote long-term stability and self-sufficiency.

Requirements For a Program Manager With Lutheran Social Services
  • Four-year degree in Social Work, related field or equivalent experience required. LSW preferred.
  • Minimum two years working in a social service setting required.
  • Experience working with homelessness, behavioral health, substance use/addiction, chronic physical disabilities, HIV/AIDS prevention and education, reentry, or supportive housing programs strongly preferred.
  • Experience managing grant-funded programs and compliance
  • Experience supervising supportive service or case management staff
  • Experience supporting participant-centered services in grant-funded housing or social service programs preferred
  • Strong oral and written skills, including skill in writing progress notes and participant action plans
  • Ideal candidates will be able to demonstrate experience utilizing (minimally) the following techniques, interventions and EBP's: Motivational Interviewing skills, Stages of Change, Harm Reduction, prevention & education strongly preferred.
  • Valid Ohio driver's license, access to reliable insured transportation and ability to meet LSS insurance standards required
