Job description

About the Role
This is an in-house position located in Columbus, Ohio. This is not a remote role.
Postali is hiring an SEO Specialist to join our Client Performance team, where you’ll work closely with our in-house content writers, designers, and developers to meaningfully improve our law firm clients’ visibility in search engines and, more importantly, their ability to turn that visibility into leads and cases.
We’re looking for someone who thinks like an owner – someone who is deeply curious, accountable, and passionate about helping clients grow. The ideal candidate will bring a high level of organization and initiative, an understanding of the SEO landscape, and an eagerness to dig into data, strategy, and execution in a dynamic agency environment.
What You’ll Do:
  • Own the SEO performance of your assigned clients: building strategies that align with their goals and drive measurable improvement in rankings, traffic, and conversion.
  • Develop and deliver holistic organic strategies for improving site structure, keyword targeting, content strategy, technical health, and backlink profiles.
  • Collaborate closely with content writers, designers, developers, and our Client Experience team to align SEO strategy with broader marketing initiatives.
  • Monitor performance trends, analyze data, and identify high-impact opportunities to improve local and organic search visibility.
  • Plan and execute local SEO strategies to increase visibility in map listings and local packs.
  • Research competitors and analyze market trends to keep your clients one step ahead.
  • Plan and manage white-hat link-building campaigns that contribute to overall SEO health and domain authority.
  • Stay current on search algorithm updates, SEO best practices, and emerging tools and techniques.

Track, log, and report on tasks and performance in a detailed, organized, and proactive manner.
Communicate key insights and strategy pivots in real time to the Client Experience team as performance or client sentiment shifts.
What We Need:
  • 2+ years of hands-on SEO experience, preferably in an agency setting where you’ve successfully managed multiple clients or websites.
  • A track record of improving site visibility, traffic, and conversions.
  • Familiarity with conversion rate optimization and how SEO connects to broader digital marketing performance.
  • Experience with SEO tools (such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog, or Google Search Console) and the ability to interpret data for actionable insights.
  • Demonstrated success planning and executing white-hat link-building campaigns.
  • Strong organizational and self-management skills, especially in fast-paced environments with shifting priorities.
  • A foundational understanding of how site architecture, content, technical SEO, and backlinks work together to influence search rankings.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills; able to work cross-functionally and articulate SEO strategy clearly to non-technical teammates.

Must-Have: Curiosity and Adaptability in the Age of AI Search
The search landscape is changing fast, and so are we. AI tools like ChatGPT, Gemini, and Bing are already shifting how people search for legal services, and that means traditional SEO tactics aren’t enough on their own. We’re looking for someone who understands where search is headed, not just where it’s been.
The right candidate for this role:
  • Follows how AI and language models are changing user behavior and influencing what shows up in search results.
  • Keeps up with algorithm updates and understands how authority, relevance, and structured data are interpreted by both search engines and AI platforms.
  • Can apply these shifts in real time — adjusting content, site structure, and overall strategy to help clients stay ahead.
  • Has experience evolving their SEO approach to meet the demands of new tools, platforms, and technologies.

At Postali, we’re already thinking about how to get our clients found — whether someone’s searching on Google or asking a question to a chatbot. That means our SEO Specialists need to think beyond keywords and links — and ask bigger questions, like: “How is this law firm showing up as an expert?” and “What signals are we sending about trust and relevance?”
If you’re someone who asks not only “How do I rank this page?” but “How is AI interpreting this firm’s authority?”—we want to hear from you.
Great to Have:
  • Experience working in WordPress or similar CMS platforms.
  • Experience working in Project Management or similar organization tools
  • Strong Excel/Google Sheets skills (formulas, pivot tables, etc.).
  • Passion for legal marketing, or experience working in regulated or service-based industries.
