Job description

About Leviton
At Leviton, we build what's next to light, power, and connect everyday spaces, from electrical to lighting, to data networks, and energy management. With over 115 years of history, Leviton develops thoughtful solutions that help make its customers' lives easier, safer, more efficient, and more productive. We recognize that our people are our greatest asset. We ASK questions, EMBRACE challenges, SEEK new perspectives, and ANTICIPATE what comes next. It's about each person bringing skills and passion to a challenging and constantly changing world.
About the role
As digital discovery evolves, we are transforming how our products and expertise are found, moving beyond traditional search into AI-driven platforms where answers matter more than rankings.
Our Digital Marketing team plays a critical role in making sure Leviton is not just visible, but trusted, structured, and recommended across search engines and AI assistants.
We are looking for an SEO / AI Manager to lead the evolution of search into AI-driven discoverability (AEO / GEO). This role goes beyond traditional SEO. You will shape how Leviton content is surfaced across Google and AI platforms like ChatGPT, Gemini, Perplexity, and Bing Copilot, ensuring our content is not only indexed, but selected as the answer. You'll partner across teams to optimize content, structure data, and build authority signals that improve how Leviton shows up in both search results and AI-generated responses.
Responsibilities
You will lead initiatives that connect SEO, content, and AI to drive measurable business outcomes:
  • Develop and execute an integrated SEO, AEO, and GEO strategy
  • Optimize content for AI answer engines, including FAQs, how-to content, and structured product data
  • Identify content gaps based on search behavior and emerging AI prompts
  • Improve visibility across AI platforms by strengthening content clarity, authority, and attribution
  • Partner with product marketing, content, and web teams to align optimization with business priorities
  • Implement and scale structured data (schema markup) to improve machine readability
  • Analyze performance using tools like Google Analytics, Search Console, and SEO platforms
  • Track new success metrics such as:
    • AI answer presence and visibility
    • Brand mentions and citations in AI-generated responses
    • AI-driven referral traffic
  • Monitor competitor performance and identify opportunities to improve Leviton's share of voice in AI search
  • Build dashboards and reporting to track both traditional SEO and AI-driven performance

Qualifications
  • Experience optimizing content for AI assistants or generative search platforms
  • Understanding of structured data, schema markup, and content architecture
  • Ability to think beyond rankings and focus on authority, trust, and answer visibility
  • Curiosity and adaptability in a fast-changing digital and AI landscape

Education & Experience
We're looking for a data-driven marketer who is curious about the future of search and excited to apply new approaches:
  • 3-6+ years of experience in SEO, digital marketing, or content strategy
  • Strong understanding of SEO fundamentals (keyword strategy, on-page optimization, technical SEO)
  • Familiarity or interest in AI-driven search, AEO, or GEO strategies
  • Experience with SEO tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, Screaming Frog
  • Working knowledge of Google Analytics (GA4) and Search Console
  • Strong analytical, research, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to translate data into clear, actionable insights
  • Strong writing and content structuring skills, especially for clear, answer-based formats
  • Detail-oriented with a collaborative mindset

What We Offer
This is an opportunity to help shape how a global brand is discovered in the next era of digital marketing:
  • Work on cutting-edge SEO and AI discoverability initiatives
  • Influence how customers find and choose Leviton solutions
  • Collaborate across digital, product marketing, and technology teams
  • Gain exposure to emerging tools and strategies shaping the future of search
  • Make a measurable impact on traffic, engagement, and business growth

What You'll Gain
  • Hands-on experience leading the shift from SEO to AI-driven discovery
  • Exposure to real-world applications of AEO and GEO strategies
  • Mentorship and collaboration with experienced marketing professionals
  • Opportunity to drive high-impact initiatives across Leviton.com

Comprehensive benefits include:
  • Medical, dental, and vision insurance programs
  • 401K plans with employer-matching contributions
