The Ohio Colleges of Medicine Government Resource Center (GRC)invites applications for a SeniorReporting and AnalyticsAnalyst position("Senior Researcher").A successful applicant willengage in applied healthservices and population health research in a project-based, team setting.The successful candidatewillfocusprimarilyonqualitativeresearch, includingdesign,instrumentdevelopment,conduct,analysis,and reporting. This individual may also supportthequantitativesurvey research or administrative dataanalysiscomponent ofmixed-methodsprojects.
SeniorResearchersareexpected to performmainlytechnical skill tasks, but in somecases,they may also contribute toprojectleadershipand administration. They are expected to complete work independently ontasks with moderate complexitywhileassisting or completingadvanced complexity tasks withappropriateassistance and oversight. Senior Researcherstypicallyworkonmultiple projectsat a time and have significant project responsibilities.
Typical responsibilities are project-specific and may include combinations of the following:(1)assists with developing qualitative protocols;(2)assists withdesigning qualitativedatacollection instruments includinginterview guides, focus group guides, observational frameworks, and document review guides,(3)conducts qualitative data collection through semi-structured interviews or other qualitative methods; (4)assists with qualitativedataanalysis, including rapid qualitative analysisanddeductive and inductive methods;(5)assists with the development ofreports, presentations, and other deliverables forproject sponsors and other audiences;(6)conducts literature searches and literature reviews;(7)assists as a liaison to project partners and sponsors;(8)assists with the development of institutional review board (IRB) applications;(9)assists insurvey design,testing ofsurvey instruments,and data checkson collected data;(10)tracks progress on survey fieldingand troubleshoots issues with response rates, data quality, and survey administration;(11)participates in survey data collection;(12)assists with research documentation, such as the creation of methodology reports and survey crosswalks;and(13)conducts analysis of weighted survey dataor administrative data.
Minimum Education Required:
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field or equivalent is required.
A minimum of 4 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degreeor2 years of relevant experience with an advanceddegree(master'sdegree ora PhD)in a relevant field of studyis required.Requires successful completion of a background check.The selectedcandidate may be asked to complete a pre-employment physical,including a drug screen.Candidatesselected for an interviewmaybe asked to provide a writing sample,complete aqualitative orquantitative instrumentdesigntask,complete aquantitativecoding test,and/orprovidea code sample.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Experience with qualitative data collection and analysis, such as semi-structured interviews, focus groups, or document review.An advanced degree in a relevant field of studyisstrongly preferred.Experience with mixed methods research.Experience with applied health research.Experience with survey research methods.Experience programming survey instruments using platforms such as REDCap orQualtrics.Experience withstatistical programming.
