Job Summary:
The Operations Manager Trainee role is a position designed to prepare you for a management career within Core-Mark’s organization. As a manager trainee, you’ll gain hands-on experience leading personnel to include recruiting, safety and compliance, food safety measures, training, and other projects in a friendly and supportive learning environment. 
Our trainees assist in operations management across Warehouse, Transportation, and Facilities. The Operations Manager Trainee will assist in managing an established operations budget and plans for future growth and assisting in the implementation of changes as needed to accommodate business needs. Functions as a team member within the department and organization as required and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
  • Responsible for learning OSHA safety programs and systems; operations business processes, systems & tools; and performance management.

  • Collaborates with all frontline managers to learn the day-to-day business operations (Warehouse Manager, Transportation Manager, Inventory Manager,)

  • Works with safety to continue to create a safety conscious culture

  • Completes the assigned Perform curriculum and all other assigned training courses

  • Performs other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

• High School Diploma/GED or Equivalent Experience.
• 2 - 4-year degree in Business or related field, or experience equivalent to schooling.
• Proficient knowledge of warehouse management systems, email systems, and Microsoft Office (word, Excel, etc.).
