Job description

POSITION SUMMARY


The Contractor Licensing Specialist will be responsible for managing contractor and engineering licensing activities for Vertiv and its affiliates, helping ensure compliance while enabling business growth across multiple jurisdictions. In this highly collaborative role, you will oversee the licensing process from application through renewal, prepare and submit regulatory filings, and partner with internal stakeholders to complete applications. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented professional who enjoys navigating regulatory requirements, building cross-functional relationships, and making a direct impact on the success of a growing global organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES for the Contractor Licensing Specialist:

  • Managing and maintaining all existing licenses for Vertiv's corporate entities and affiliates across all applicable jurisdictions.
  • Owning the end-to-end licensing application and renewal process, including completing all forms, gathering required documentation, and ensuring submissions are accurate and timely.
  • Driving applications and renewals to completion.
  • Proactively determining additional licenses and classifications necessary to support Vertiv's current and planned business activities.
  • Coordinating with licensing boards, state agencies, and regulatory bodies to resolve issues, respond to deficiency notices, and keep applications moving.
  • Assisting with the development and maintenance of the licensing database to ensure accurate, real-time tracking of all license statuses, deadlines, and requirements.
  • Assisting with maintaining corporate records for Vertiv's corporate entities as they relate to licensing.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Relevant experience managing corporate licensing, as a corporate paralegal, or in a similar position.
  • Willing and able to engage with licensing boards and appropriate team members for input and direction when necessary and appropriate.
  • Proactive, decisive and able to work independently.
  • Strong detailed orientation and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks.
  • Highly collaborative and team oriented, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization. 
  • Resourceful, with a problem-solving aptitude, and ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally.

Preferred Qualifications: 
   Paralegal Certificate or JD

    Bachelor's Degree required
