M.J. Design Associates, Inc. is a well-established, family-oriented Design/Build Landscape and Grounds Maintenance firm based in Columbus, Ohio. Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with existing clients to ensure satisfaction with landscape and grounds maintenance services
  • Conduct regular meetings with clients to discuss ongoing projects, renew contracts, and identify opportunities for additional enhancement work
  • Network with clients, industry associations, and subcontractors to generate referrals and new business leads
  • Collaborate with Foremen to organize and oversee daily tasks for landscape and maintenance teams
  • Provide guidance, motivation, and training to team members, supporting their professional development through the company’s training program
  • Assist with the preparation and organization of tools, equipment, and materials for daily operations
  • Ensure adherence to proper horticultural practices and safety procedures, and help train staff in these areas
  • Support Landscape and Maintenance leaders to ensure efficient and high-quality completion of all tasks
  • Review and verify work orders and timesheets for accuracy before administrative approval
  • Assist in preparing billing materials and client invoices
  • Utilize company software for time tracking, estimating, and contract management
  • Participate in ongoing education and industry events to stay current with best practices
Qualifications
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in the landscape industry
  • Strong horticultural knowledge
  • Highly organized, self-motivated, and proactive
  • Excellent communication skills with clients and team members
  • Spanish language skills are a plus, or willingness to learn
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel
  • Willingness to learn company-specific software and procedures
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development in the landscape industry
