Communications Center Operators – 24/7 Camera Surveillance Monitoring Location: Marysville, OH Pay: $20/hour Shifts: Part-time/1st Shift/Weekends Part-time/As needed - All shifts needed (24/7/365 operations) Must have CCTV/Dispatch Experience

Position Overview

As a Communications Center Operator, you'll serve at the heart of security operations, continuously monitoring live video feeds across various sites—such as dispensaries and parking lots—and coordinating real-time responses to a range of security threats. Your vigilant oversight supports on-site guards, mitigates risks, and ensures timely incident communication.

Key Responsibilities
  • Surveillance & Threat Detection Monitor CCTV and alarm systems around the clock to identify theft, trespassing, property damage, medical emergencies, or other risks. Your vigilant observations act as a visual deterrent and help minimize response time and damage.
  • Real-Time Support & Communication Relay critical, actionable information to on-site guards, enabling fast response and informed action. Establish immediate communication with law enforcement using non-emergency channels (not 911) and always inform the on-call supervisor during incidents.
  • Incident Reporting & Documentation Create and submit detailed incident reports; operators document events observed on monitors, while on-site guards also report incidents.
  • Guard Time Tracking Log guard hours in a spreadsheet as a backup for payroll—making sure each entry includes correct guard name, site, and date. Obtain confirmation to serve as an official receipt. Use this data to identify and address gaps in site coverage.
  • Operational Role & Coordination Function as the communication hub, managing multi-channel systems like radios, phones, and computer logs.
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Prior experience in security monitoring or dispatch roles preferred (e.g., control room operator, law enforcement, SOC monitoring)
  • Strong multitasking ability, decisive under pressure with excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Detail-oriented—especially with incident documentation and time tracking.
