Compensation: $16.00 per hour base salary plus commission
Job Overview
We are seeking a driven and reliable Inside Sales Representative to support our Industrial air compressor sales and service operation. This role is focused on outbound cold calling, lead generation, and appointment setting for our outside sales team, targeting manufacturing facilities, warehouses, industrial plants, and commercial operations.
The ideal candidate has proven cold calling experience, understands B2B sales environments, and is comfortable speaking with maintenance managers, plant managers, and decision – makers in industrial settings.
Key Responsibilities
• Make a high volume of outbound cold calls to industrial and commercial businesses
• Prospect and qualify leads related to air compressors, compressed air systems, service, maintenance, and equipment rentals.
• Set qualified sales appointments for outside sales representatives
• Identify customer needs related to uptime, maintenance, efficiency, and compliance
• Follow up with prospects via phone and email
• Accurately document all call activity, lead status, and appointments in the CRM system
• Meet or exceed daily call targets, appointment quotas, and performance metrics
• Work closely with outside sales and service teams to ensure smooth lead handoffs
• Maintain a professional, persistent, and consultative phone presence
Required Qualifications
• Proven success in appointment setting, lead generation, or inside sales
• Strong phone communication and objection – handling skills
• Ability to confidently speak with industrial and manufacturing decision – makers
• Self – motivated, organized, and goal – oriented
• Comfortable working in a metrics – driven, phone – intensive sales role
• Basic computer skills and CRM experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in industrial sales, equipment sales, or service – based B2B sales
• Familiarity with air compressors, compressed air systems, industrial maintenance, or MRO (Maintenance, Repair, and Operations) services
• Background as an Inside Sales Representative, Sales Development Representative (SDR), Business Development Representative (BDR), or Appointment Setter
• Experience working with commission – based compensation plans
Compensation & Benefits
• Base Salary: $16.00 per hour plus commission
