Job Description

Summary:

This position is responsible for leading cross-functional teams in root cause analysis, identification, and implementation of corrective actions, and mistake-proofing to eliminate specific quality issues. This role will provide project leadership, coaching, and influencing of other site team members. Actively pursues and supports product and process improvements throughout the facility.

Focus on:

  • Leading assigned improvement projects, working directly with employees on all shifts and teams, resulting in bottom-line improvements in quality, productivity, and throughput.
  • Analyzing performance data to identify trends and improvement needs.
  • Assist in the implementation of Environmental, Health, and Safety programs.


Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned:

  • Support and Champion safety in your manufacturing site by driving education and behavioral processes to a world-class level.
  • Coaches and develops teams in the use of structured problem-solving tools and approaches (8D, DMAIC).
  • Analyzes performance data to identify opportunities and priorities for improvement focus.


Qualifications:

  • Ability to coach and mentor at all levels of the organization to influence and drive collaboration across teams and functions with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to provide work direction to team members, not in a direct reporting relationship.
  • Ability to develop experience in a high-speed industrial manufacturing environment/plant.
  • Ability to develop experience in CI/LEAN and/or OPEX environment.

Education and/or Experience:

  • Majors in – Industrial & Systems Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Process Engineering, Engineering Technology, or equivalent.
  • Must be able to prioritize multiple projects, perform tasks, organize and follow through consistently and work under pressure to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and oral communication, facilitation, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to influence upward, across, and down without formal authority.
