Weekend CHHA/Dumont

Job Summary:

At Home Companions is seeking a compassionate and experienced Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) to provide weekend care to our clients in Dumont, New Jersey. This is a part-time, hourly position that will require individual contributor role. The CHHA will be responsible for providing personal care, companionship, and assistance with activities of daily living to clients in their homes.

Compensation & Benefits:

This position offers a competitive hourly rate of $18 to $20 per hour, with biweekly pay. In addition, the CHHA will have the opportunity to work with a supportive and professional team, as well as receive ongoing training and development opportunities.

Responsibilities:

- Provide personal care, including bathing, grooming, and dressing, to clients according to their individual care plans
- Assist with medication reminders and administration as directed
- Help clients with activities of daily living, such as toileting, eating, and mobility
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Accompany clients to appointments, errands, and social outings
- Monitor and record clients' vital signs and report any changes to the designated supervisor
- Maintain a safe and clean environment for clients
- Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the healthcare team
- Complete required documentation and reports in a timely manner

Requirements:

- Active Certified Home Health Aide (CHHA) certification in the state of New Jersey
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working as a CHHA in a home care setting
- Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
- Compassionate and caring attitude towards clients
- Reliable transportation and a valid driver's license
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
- Must pass a background check and drug screening
