This is a full-time position with a schedule of Monday-Friday, 9am-6:30pm. The starting pay rate is $15-17 per hour depending upon experience and qualifications. This position is onsite at our center located: 4527 Carter St Orlando FL 32811.

The Preschool Teacher develops a cohesive teaching team, coordinates the curriculum, and manages the day-to-day operational activities of the classroom while implementing a curriculum that is appropriate for 3 to 4-year-olds. The teacher in this role should be high energy and able to work well with staff, students, and parents. You’ll have the opportunity to be a serve as a model and mentor, be a leader in the classroom, champion a team environment, and provide fun-filled learning opportunities while making a positive impact on the lives of our children.

What You’ll Do:
•    Manage adherence to quality standards in accordance with both center’s vision and local/state requirements
•    Lead by example and encourage teaching team success through modeling and coaching 
•    Plan individual and group age-appropriate exercises to actively engage children and encourage social, cognitive, and emotional growth 
•    Maintain personal professional development plan to ensure continuous quality improvement 
•    Work with staff, children, and parents to foster a team environment 
•    Encourage children to develop a community-spirited classroom through sharing, caring and self-regulation 
•    Coordinate and implement educational curriculum by creating classroom activities based on developmentally appropriate practices and early learning standards 
•    Promote self-help and good hygiene through behavior modeling

What We Need from You:
•    High school diploma and/or degree in related field of study
•    45 DCF hours required, CDA preferred

•    Minimum of 2 -3 years of professional early childhood education
•    Must clear a full level II DCF background check
•    Excellent organizational and interpersonal skills, oral and written communication skills, and basic computer skills
•    Strong understanding of children's cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to ensure a safe and stimulating classroom environment where students are engaged and encouraged to succeed
•    Effective communication with both students and adults to meet the needs of the children, guidance of teacher assistants, and resolution of parental concerns
•    Demonstration of empathy and patience in difficult situations while being cheerful, enthusiastic, and engaging in the workplace
