Job Description

Position/Title: Job Cost Accountant
Reports to: Senior Accounting Manager
Start Date: Immediately
Location: Birmingham, AL

Responsibilities Include:

Record and reconcile financial information.
Review and post accounts payables and accounts receivable batches.
Reconcile bank statements.
Process monthly journal entries accordingly.
Review general ledger for accuracy prior to month-end close.
Produce monthly reporting packages for each client’s properties on your team.
Prepare owner or lender funding requests.
Work closely with Project Managers regarding questions on developments.
Assist management with special projects when requested.

Experience, Skills & Requirements:

College degree required, plus a minimum of 2+ years’ accounting experience.
Sage experience preferred.
Working knowledge of Excel, Outlook, and Word.
Good foundation of basic accounting principles.
Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task.
Ability to meet deadlines.
Professional communication skills.
Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, growing work environment
